Orientation
The University of Dayton provides two distinct programs that help students make the transition from high school to college — Virtual Orientation (VO) and the New Student Orientation Program.
A similar web site, VOParents, serves as your guide as you accompany your child along the path toward UD. This central online location equips you with all of the information and resources you need before stepping onto campus in August. Once the site becomes available, you will receive a mailing from the Office of the Provost containing your user name and password. Visit VOParents Web Site >>
Virtual Orientation
VO is a web site designed to guide students through their transition from high school to college. Students are provided with multiple resources to ease the tensions associated with entering into college-level course work. They can read descriptions of academic programs, discover first-semester course requirements and options, and view a list of all courses currently offered by a program. Students can communicate with each other, post a personal profile, take placement exams, select course preferences, access campus resources, get answers to questions pertinent to first-year students and discover UD. They can even read a series called Day in the Life, which tracks a typical first-year student through a day at UD!
