Living at UD
Academic challenge and friendliness are the top reasons students choose the University of Dayton. Two miles from downtown Dayton, our 259-acre campus is bordered by a quiet, suburban neighborhood.
Life on UD's campus thrives around the concept of community. In fact, more than 90 percent of UD's students live in the residence halls and student neighborhood, and they come from throughout the United States and many parts of the world.
First-year students live in one of four residence halls and choose from one of five meal plans.
To encourage individuals' interests, talents and needs, UD offers something for everyone. More than 180 clubs and organizations exist on campus, including academic and professional clubs, athletics, honor societies, Greek organizations, media, music and performing arts, service clubs, and social and cultural clubs. Additionally, students become part of 'Flyer Fever' while supporting UD's Division I athletics.
We invite you to visit campus and see life at UD firsthand. A variety of hotels and restaurants are located near campus. Accepted students are eligible to participate in an overnight stay, where they experience college life as they tour campus, spend the evening with a student, attend class, meet faculty, eat at Kennedy Union or hang out at The Blend.
Each fall, UD welcomes parents to campus during the annual Parents Weekend.
