Climbing the mountains of Chile, hiking the Great Wall of China and dining in a quaint café by the Eiffel Tower aren't just fun vacation ideas — at UD, they can be part of your education. You can integrate your international interests and academics by adding a major or minor in foreign language education, human rights studies, international business, international studies or languages.

Education Abroad — Academic Programs

With UD's education abroad experiences, you will learn to use your education to immerse yourself in other cultures and become a true global citizen — not just a tourist.

UD offers you education abroad programs ranging from a few weeks to a full year that include courses for credit, language immersion, and service opportunities or work experience. You will have the ability to study anywhere in the world, including Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Morocco, the Netherlands and Spain. During International Summer Immersions, you can dedicate yourself to improving the lives of others and learn about culture firsthand through job placements, language study and travel in Cameroon, Guatemala and India.

Through Engineers in Technical, Humanitarian Opportunities of Service-Learning (ETHOS) technical immersions, you can conduct research or engineering-related work in developing nations. International and Intercultural Learning and Living Community

You don't have to travel the world to experience a milieu of cultures. The International and Intercultural Learning-Living Community helps to foster cross-cultural interaction among UD students. With a group of 44 upperclassmen from across the country and around the globe, you participate in movie nights, dinners and off-campus excursions all focused on intercultural dialogue and discussion.
