UD is an internationally recognized leader in the integration of technology into the learning and living experience. Intel Corporation ranked UD 16th in the United States in its recent survey of wireless campuses nationwide.
As part of UD's student computer initiative, all UD students are required to purchase a notebook computer. This computer requirement ensures you receive the best learning experience possible.

The University of Dayton utilizes more than 900 wireless access points to enhance learning throughout campus, including approximately 359 in academic buildings and green spaces, and more than 545 in residential areas. In addition, all University-owned housing is fully wired for direct high-speed Internet connection. Also, many points in the city of Dayton, including several restaurants and a one-square-mile area in downtown, are part of a free wireless access hotzone.
