Scholarships and Financial Aid
An education at the University of Dayton is an exceptional value, and UD is a leader in helping families afford a private education.
In 2007 more than 99 percent of incoming first-year students received institutional aid (scholarships and grants). Last year, we provided nearly $44 million in institutional aid to our students. Additional need-based aid is also available.
Tuition costs at the University of Dayton are the same for all full-time undergraduate students. Since the University of Dayton is a private institution, there are no special out-of-state charges.

Applicants receive consideration for these scholarships on the basis of high school academic performance and ACT or SAT scores. Awards are made for two semesters in an academic year. A recipient must be enrolled full-time at the University (minimum of 12 credit hours), and will maintain the scholarship for eight full-time undergraduate terms providing he/she maintains at least a 3.0 (B) cumulative grade point average and participates in University-sponsored extracurricular activities.
These scholarship ranges are to be used for informational purposes only and are based upon actual awards that accepted students received last year. Final scholarship awards will be based on the applicant's academic record, as well as the quality and strength of the current applicant pool.
To apply for financial aid, students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the processing agency as soon as possible after January 1 and list the University of Dayton (CODE #003127) to receive the results.

Students interested in majoring in any academic program are considered for these awards, which are made to entering first-year students only.Applicants receive consideration for these scholarships on the basis of high school academic performance and ACT or SAT scores.
