Learn about UD's policy on ACT and SAT scores.
At the University of Dayton, we know students often take the ACT or SAT multiple times. In order to make the admission process as simple as possible, we accept scores through the December exams. For admission and scholarship, the highest score from each section will be used if a test is taken more than once. We will update students' scores through the December test dates, and any change to their scholarship awards will be automatic.
While no minimum test score is specified for admission, it must provide evidence of the student's readiness for college studies in his or her chosen academic program. Academic scholarships at the University of Dayton are awarded on the basis of high school academic performance and ACT or SAT scores. The University of Dayton is now a member of the Common Application group.
In order to better serve the needs of our prospective students, the University of Dayton makes it easier to apply. Students can submit our online application or the Common Application. There is a $50 application fee accompanying the paper version of the Common Application, but this fee is waived when students submit the electronic version of the Common Application or our Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship.
