Student Employment

Whether you work two hours a week or twenty, it can make a big difference in helping pay for your education — not to mention enriching your studies and giving you hands-on preparation for your career. In addition to gaining on-the-job skills, you'll develop valuable resources and contacts in your field.

To help you meet these goals, the Office of Student Employment is committed to providing you with current information about jobs that are available both on- and off-campus.

University Employment Program

All UD students, regardless of financial need, may apply for University-funded employment opportunities on campus. Positions are available in most on-campus departments, and salary is based on experience and job description. To apply, contact the Office of Student Employment.

Federal Work Study is awarded to undergraduates who demonstrate financial need, and positions are available in most on-campus department. Salary is based on experience and job description. To apply, complete the FAFSA.

Internships and Cooperative Education

Internships can be a part-time, paid or nonpaid position during the school year, or full-time, paid or nonpaid position during the summer. They are not based on financial need. If the internship is related to your academic program or is part of a learning program, academic credit may be available. To apply, contact your academic adviser.

Cooperative education combines academic studies with practical work experience, and it is not based on financial need. Positions are related to your field of study, and salary is determined by your employer. To apply, contact the cooperative education office.
