Apply for Financial Aid
At the University of Dayton, over 90 percent of our students qualify for financial assistance. The University of Dayton is affordable. Let us show you how.
Step 1: The first step in applying for financial aid is to apply to UD. Complete the Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarship or the Common Application. You must be admitted to receive an official financial aid award.
Step 2 (optional): Prior to January 1, you can complete the FAFSA4caster to receive a free estimate of your federal student aid eligibility.
Step 3: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Submit this form to the processing agency as soon as possible after January 1 and list the University of Dayton (CODE #003127) to receive the results.
If you complete the FAFSA on the web, you must either register to receive a PIN, which can be used to electronically sign your FAFSA, or print out, sign and send the signature page to the processing agency. If you choose to register for a PIN, both you and your parent must complete the signature process electronically. You must submit a FAFSA each year, and your PIN will remain the same each year you reapply.
Financial aid applications received by March 31 will receive priority. We recommend you submit your FAFSA to the processing agency by March 1.
