Summer Advancement

Are you a high school junior? You can get a head start on college with the Summer Advancement program!

Your College Experience Starts Now

Through the Summer Advancement Program, you'll gain all the perks of a college education — without the cost.

Not only will you get to take interesting courses, but you'll also meet new friends, get a firsthand account of college life and earn credits that can be transferred to any college or university.

As part of this program, you won't have to pay tuition or the University fee. You are only responsible for textbooks, transportation, personal expenses, and any laboratory or materials fees.

Take Real College Courses

Through the Summer Advancement Program, you'll get a taste of the college experience as you take regular college courses taught by UD professors. Whether you want to learn more about history, mathematics or psychology, you'll find courses to match your interests. This program is offered during the second summer session, which runs from the end of June to early August.

Application Information

Applying to the Summer Advancement Program is simple. Just complete the free application (PDF) and give it to your high school guidance counselor. Your counselor should complete the recommendation and attach your official high school transcript, including any PACT, PSAT, ACT or SAT scores, and mail the completed application and transcript to:
